Booking Terms & Conditions

Except where otherwise specified, Travel & Trade Worldwide Ltd, t/a Check-in-London.com (“we, us, our”) act only as an agent in respect of all bookings we take and/or make on your behalf.

We accept no liability in relation to any contract you enter into or for any accommodation or other services you purchase (“accommodation”) or for the acts or omissions of any supplier/principal or other person(s) or party(ies) connected with any arrangements.  For all arrangements, your contract will be with the supplier of the arrangements in question (the “supplier/principal”).When making your booking we will arrange for you to enter into a contract with the applicable supplier/principal of the accommodation.

Your booking with us is subject to these Booking Terms and Conditions (“terms”) and the specific booking conditions of the relevant supplier/principal(s) you contract with and you are advised to read both carefully prior to booking. The supplier/principal’s booking conditions may limit and/or exclude their liability to you.  Copies of applicable conditions are available from us on request. 

By making a booking with us and using this website, you agree that you:

  1. have read these terms and agree to be bound by them;
  2. consent to our use of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
  3. are over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions you declare that you and all members of your party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services;
  4. accept financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.

 

Booking

All rates stated on our website are per apartment and not per person. All apartment rates are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate and service. Some properties are exempt of VAT or a reduced VAT rate may be applicable such as 4% vat after 28 nights. All apartment providers require that there is at least one person aged 18 or over is staying at the apartments for each booking.

In order to make a booking, you must confirm the apartment you wish to book via email or telephone and complete a secure online booking form and make all applicable payments. You will then receive an email booking confirmation with the details of your booking and reference number.

By submitting the secure online booking form you confirm that you have read and agreed to the individual accommodation terms and cancellation policies that you are booking. The email confirmation we send will include your booking reference, the accommodation's cancellation policy, address and telephone number. Once your booking is confirmed, a contract between you and the supplier/principal will exist, and we send you this email confirmation on their behalf.

If there are any unforeseen changes or problems with your booking, we will automatically contact you first for your approval/instructions, before arranging an alternative booking for you. In the event that the accommodation of your choice is fully booked or sold out at the time of confirming your booking, Check-in-london.com will endeavour to offer you alternative accommodation of similar price, quality and location. We will not, of course, proceed with an alternative booking without seeking your prior approval.

Your email confirmation will be sent as soon as possible and usually be with you the same day (if you booked between 9:00 and 16:00 GMT, Monday to Friday), or on the following morning of the next working day (if you booked during the weekend or after 16:00 GMT on Friday). Please check your email confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. As we act only as booking agent, we have no responsibility for any errors in any documentation except where an error is made by us.

You may decide to make one or more bookings with us at the same time. The price charged in total for more than one booking will always equal the prices charged separately for each individual booking. All services are available to be purchased separately at the same price as they are when more than one booking is made. This means that any multiple bookings do not constitute a package as defined in the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

If you have any special requests, please let us know at the time of booking. We will pass on all such requests to the supplier/principal, but we can't guarantee that they will be met and we will have no liability to you if they are not.

All payments must be made in £GBP sterling. You will be informed of any surcharges that may apply. The currency conversion services on our website should be used as a guide and are for indicative purposes only. All currency rates on our website are updated regularly and supplied by XE.com and are provided for convenience only.
 

Payment

Check-in-london.com is a NO-FEE service and credit card details are used only by the supplier/principal, in the process of booking the accommodation at your instruction.

Each supplier/principal has its own terms and conditions relating to how you pay for your booking. You can see these details on the individual accommodation page. Please note that your bank may charge you for an international transfer of money when the payment is taken. If full payment is not received as required by the supplier/principal, the supplier/principal may cancel your booking and charge the cancellation fees set out in their booking conditions. The supplier/principal may also require you to provide a copy of your ID (passport or drivers Licence) during the booking process.

We reserve the right to amend advertised prices at any time. We also reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices.

Amendments & Cancellations

Each individual supplier/principal has its own cancellation and amendment policy, which you can read on that individual accommodation’s page on our website.

To cancel or amend a booking, please contact us as soon as possible by telephone or email, quoting your booking reference number (also contained within our email). We will then make the cancellation on your behalf with the supplier/principal. Amendments and cancellations can only be accepted in accordance with the booking conditions of the supplier/principal of the accommodation who may charge the cancellation or amendment charges shown in their booking conditions, which may be as much as100% of the cost of the accommodation.

If you need to cancel a booking urgently, and it is outside our office hours, then we advise you to inform the supplier/principal directly using the contact details you will find on the confirmation email. If you cancel or amend a booking outside our office hours, the cancellation policy will be applied from the time we or the supplier/principal has received your cancellation request (during office hours) and not the time the cancellation request was sent.

If you fail to arrive at the accommodation on your intended date of arrival without prior cancellation within the specified period, the supplier/principal is entitled to charge your credit card. The amount of this cancellation charge depends upon the terms and conditions of the particular supplier/principal.

Should a supplier/principal have to alter or cancel a booking, provided that we are informed of it, we will do our utmost to inform you where is reasonably possible; at times it may not always be possible to contact you before your departure. In the event of the supplier/principal cancelling your booking, we have no liability to you with regards to making a refund or offering any compensation. The supplier/principal will be responsible for finding appropriate alternative accommodation of a similar standard and shall cover all additional costs incurred as a result of finding and transporting to such accommodation.

Our responsibility

Your contract is with the supplier/principal and its booking conditions apply. As agent, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of the accommodation. Our responsibilities are limited to making the booking in accordance with your instructions.

We accept no responsibility for any information about the accommodation that we pass on to you in good faith. However, in the event that we are found liable to you on any basis whatsoever, our maximum liability to you is limited to the cost of the commission we earn on your booking (or the appropriate proportion of this if not everyone on the booking is affected).

We do not exclude or limit any liability for death or personal injury that arises as a result of our negligence or that of any of our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

Your responsibility

Unless you tell us otherwise, we are entitled to assume that all guests intending to stay in the accommodation hold full British passports or visas valid for the entire duration of the accommodation you choose to purchase. You are strongly recommended to check the up to date position with the supplier/principal, Passport Office, appropriate embassy or consulate or your doctor as applicable in good time before departure.

You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance for all members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs.

Complaints

Because the contract for your accommodation is between you and the supplier/principal, any queries or concerns about your accommodation should be addressed to them. If you have a problem with your accommodation whilst using it, this must be reported to the supplier/principal immediately. If you fail to follow this procedure there will be less opportunity for the supplier/principal to investigate and rectify your complaint. The amount of compensation you may be entitled to may therefore be reduced or extinguished as a result.

If you wish to complain about any service we have provided to you (i.e. our booking service) then please contact us directly.

If you still feel your complaint has not been resolved, you can also access the European Commission Online Dispute (ODR) Resolution platform at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.

Documentation & Information

All descriptions and content on our website or otherwise issued by us is done so on behalf of the supplier/principal in question are intended to present a general idea of the services provided by the supplier/principal. Not all details of the relevant services can be included on our website. All services shown are subject to availability.

All accommodation ratings are as based on the information provided by the relevant supplier/principal. These are intended to give a guide to the services and facilities you should expect from your accommodation. Standards and ratings may vary between countries, as well as between suppliers. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of any ratings given.

Check-in-london.com also reserves the right to change information published on the website at any time, including rates, descriptions and photographs without prior notice.

Limitation of Liability

You assume all responsibility and risk for the use of this site and the Internet generally. In no event shall Check-in-London or its affiliates be liable for any direct, special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever; including but not limited to loss of use, data, or profits, without regard to the form of any action, including but not limited to contract, negligence, or other tort actions, arising out of or in connection with the use, copying, or display of the content resulting from access to or use of this site, or the Internet generally, under contract, tort or any other cause of action or legal theory.

Although we believe the contents of our listings to be accurate, complete, and current, we make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or currency of the content. It is your responsibility to verify any information before relying on it. The content of this site may include technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. From time to time, changes are made to the content herein. We may make changes in the products and/or the services described herein at any time.

No advice or information given by Check-in-London, affiliates or their respective employees shall create any warranty.

Documents posted by Check-in-London on a Site may contain other proprietary notices or describe products, services, processes or technologies owned by Check-in-London or third parties. Nothing contained herein shall be construed by implication, estoppels or otherwise as granting to the user a license under any copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property right of Check-in-London or any third party.

These terms do not affect consumer statutory rights.

Consent to Monitoring and Disclosure

Check-in-London is under no obligation to monitor the information residing or transmitted to this site. However, anyone accessing this site agrees that Check-in-London may monitor the website to (1) comply with any necessary laws, regulations or governmental requests; (2) to, in its sole discretion, operate the website in a manner it deems proper or to protect against conduct it deems inappropriate. Check-in-London shall have the right but not the obligation, to reject or eliminate any information residing on or transmitted to the website that it, in its sole discretion, believes is unacceptable or inconsistent with these terms and conditions.

In the event Check-in-London receives information or materials through the website, which is not identifiably personal, including but not limited to feedback, data, answers, questions, comments, suggestions, plans, ideas or the like, such information or material shall be deemed to be non-confidential and Check-in-London assumes no obligation to protect same from disclosure.

The submission of information or materials to Check-in-London shall in no way prevent the purchase, manufacture or use of similar products, services, plans and ideas by Check-in-London for any purpose whatever. In addition, you grant Check-in-London the right, in any form now or hereafter known, to reproduce, use, disclose, distribute, transmit, create derivative works from, and publicly display and perform, any information or materials you submit to through any Site.

Endorsements and Linked Sites

Check-in-London makes no representations whatsoever concerning the content of the website listed as links herein. The fact that Check-in-London have provided a link to a site is NOT an endorsement, authorization, sponsorship, or affiliation by Check-in-London with respect to such site, its owners, or its providers. There are risks in using any information, software, or products found on the Internet; and Check-in-London cautions you to make sure that you completely understand these risks before retrieving, using, relying upon, or purchasing anything via the Internet.

Security

You agree that you will comply with any security processes and procedures (such as passwords) specified by Check-in-London with respect to access to or use of the website. Further, you agree not to access or attempt to access any areas of or through a Site which are not intended for general public access, unless you have been provided with explicit written authorization to do so by Check-in-London.

Failure to Comply

Check-in-London have the right to terminate or restrict your access to any or all Sites, unilaterally and without notice, in the event you violate any of these Terms of Use. Check-in-London also reserves any and all remedies at law or equity in connection with violation of these Terms of Use.

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you can bring proceedings in your local court under Scottish or Northern Irish law, as applicable).
